Great parenting is all about teaching your child what is right and wrong. Sometimes, in order to show our children how much we love them, we avoid scolding them even when they do wrong. Unfortunately, this has ramifications later in life since it teaches kids that there is a way to get off the hook even when they do not act appropriately.

An incident that occurred at the Baltimore Ravens in 2015 demonstrates that when it comes to rearing children, parents must occasionally resort to “desperate measures.” Rioters took to the streets of Baltimore, and when police attempted to stop them, they began throwing rocks at them.
Among those who assaulted the cops was one young man in particular. His mother recognized him despite the fact that he was wearing a ski mask that concealed much of his face. She watched him on TV and was so embarrassed by his behavior that she ran out of the house to find him.
As she approached him, the mother attempted to remove his mask before hitting him on the head. He was punched a few times before he was able to detach himself from her. WMAR captured the incident on film, and the clip was eventually published online. Many people were drawn to it. Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony Batts applauded the mother’s actions. “In one scene, you had a mother who grabbed a child with a hood on his head and started smacking him on the head because she was so embarrassed,” he remarked at a news conference. “I wish there were more parents out there who took charge of their kids tonight.” “Take control of your children,” he continued. Let us make a difference in our city.”

Several people took the time to provide comments on the video. “That MOM in Baltimore who smacked her kid for Looting deserves MOM of the YEAR,” one user said. Other mothers should follow suit! ” “Mom of the year in Baltimore… my mother would have done the same thing,” said another.
She was named “Mom of the Year,” and we feel she fully deserves it.
