Doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong with Sylvester Stallone’s daughter when she was just two months old. They investigated everywhere but found no explanation as to why she had become ill.
Sophia Stallone, Sylvester Stallone’s daughter, revealed to fans on the Stallone family’s reality TV show “The Family Stallone” that she was born with a hole in her heart. Jennifer Flavin, Sophia’s mother, finally discovered someone who knew what was going on.

Sophia told her sister, Sistine, that while previous physicians had no clue what was wrong with their mother, their mother eventually discovered a doctor who concluded she had a hole in her heart.
Sophia told Sistine that even though no one could tell their mother what was wrong with tiny Sophia, Jennifer remained “determined” to help her baby by seeking someone who understood what was wrong.
When the Stallones discovered Sophia had a hole in her heart, they began controlling her condition so she could live as normally as possible while being healthy and happy.

When she was 16, though, another sharp reminder of her illness occurred when she was playing volleyball. Sophia fainted in the middle of the court while playing, necessitating surgery.
Sophia described how difficult it was to transition from enjoying a normal life to having her chest opened by physicians so they could operate on her heart. She revealed:
“The moment I found out I needed an operation was one of the most pivotal experiences of my entire life because I had never had to consider death before.”
The 26-year-old went on to say that her mother had rashes all over her body at the time, and her father couldn’t even talk to her without sobbing because his daughter was having open-heart surgery.

Sophia also mentioned that talking to her father about her operation was difficult since he didn’t know how to handle it. She also admitted that seeing the people she believed were the strongest was tough since she was unsure about her condition.
Sophia and Sylvester have had the opportunity to sit down and have a heartfelt chat regarding Sophia’s health and the surgery she underwent since she recovered.

Sophia admitted to having PTSD as a result of her operation, explaining that she felt she had to be strong until she was alone in the operating room because she feared everyone else would break apart if she wasn’t.
She recently went to the doctor, who informed her that the hole in her heart was still present but that she was in excellent health. Jennifer acknowledged that there was “no greater feeling” than knowing her daughter was safe. What a sweet family!
