Jonathan Knight startled viewers on Wednesday by claiming that HGTV has canceled Farmhouse Fixer.
The New Kids on the Block member made the revelation on Instagram, with a promotional shot from the performance. PEOPLE has contacted HGTV for comment.
“Having a great time performing my residency in Vegas with NKOTB. A number of you have inquired about the future of Farmhouse Fixer.” I’m sorry to say that HGTV has decided not to continue with another season,” the June 25 post started.
“While I’m still processing the reasons behind their decision, Kristina and I are really appreciative of all of your support over the last three seasons. We have had so much fun watching television. We are really pleased with what we have accomplished together and look forward to sharing what comes ahead for us,” the message said.
The episode followed Knight and his long-time companion and designer, Kristina Crestin, as they renovated farmhouses in New England.

Jonathan Knight enjoys restoring ancient homes for various reasons, including the nostalgia, charm, and history of New England farmhouses. According to the show’s premise, Jonathan works with his designer, Kristina Crestin, to preserve that heritage alive by pouring new life into the properties.
The show also produced a spinoff series, Farmhouse Fixer: Camp Revamp, which premiered in 2024 and starred Knight’s brother and fellow NKOTB singer Jordan Knight. Knight has also starred in the last two seasons of HGTV’s Rock the Block.
This series is the fourth HGTV program that has purportedly been canceled this week.
On Sunday, June 22, partners Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas said in an Instagram post that Bargain Block “may not be” showing for “much longer” on HGTV. The show follows the duo as they renovate homes in Detroit for first-time buyers.
“The last six months have been a tumultuous ride. Our entire business and life have been thrown through the ringer at the hands of a megacorporation, yet we persist, haha,” the message said.
“Though you may not be seeing us for much longer on HGTV, we’re excited that we’ve built such an amazing base of followers, and we’re very excited about the future,” according to the post. “Everyone has always told us that television is a fickle world, and they are absolutely correct. TV is full of fantastic people, but it also has some of the worst individuals I’ve ever met.”
Egypt Sherrod and husband Mike Jackson reported on Tuesday, June 24, that HGTV had supposedly canceled their show, Married to Real Estate, after four seasons.
They said they learned of the news “after an unforgettable family trip through the Mediterranean.”

“While the circumstances leading up to today are discouraging, we are really appreciative. I’m grateful for four amazing seasons. We are grateful for our fantastic staff and supportive supporters. I’m grateful that our businesses continue to prosper. The statement concluded with the important note that we are still very much committed to real estate (and to each other), indicating that they had “more to say” later.
Izzy Battres, the star of Izzy Does It, also announced on June 25 that his program “won’t be returning for another season” in the comments section of a recent Instagram post. “But the support, the messages, the love—it’s all meant the world!” he vented.
In another comment on the same thread, Battres wrote, “We didn’t get the green light for a second season, but we’re leaving this experience full of gratitude.”
