Benedikt Köstler stepped onto the stage sporting a new hairdo and smart attire, as if he were a regular adolescent. Everyone expected him to perform a current pop song by Bruno Mars or Justin Bieber, but everyone was surprised when he started singing!
If you like Elvis Presley (or good music in general), you’ll undoubtedly like hearing alternative takes on classic rock n’ roll tunes. Even better if the covers are pleasantly surprising. Talent showcases, like the one you’re about to witness, are the finest place to discover new, fresh voices performing the classics we all know and love.
A talent show may appear to be a fresh approach to uncovering new talent, but this is not the case. Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Christina Aguilera, and Beyoncé were all cast members on the 1990s television show “Stars Search,” where they launched their great careers.
In addition, a flood of musicians emerged from numerous singing competitions. Leona Lewis, One Direction, Little Mix, and James Arthur rose to prominence on The X Factor UK. Fifth Harmony debuted on The X Factor in the United States, whereas Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, and Adam Lambert debuted on American Idol, and so on.
Although the most well-known performers have come from the United Kingdom and the United States thus far, other countries also have amazing talent. One of the contestants is Benedikt Köstler, who was 16 at the time of his audition for The Voice. He captivated both the judges and the crowd with his outstanding performance.

Benedikt entered the stage dressed neatly and with a newly done hairstyle as if he were an ordinary adolescent. Everyone expected him to sing a current pop song by Bruno Mars or Justin Bieber, but everyone was surprised when he began singing! First impressions may be deceptive. Benedikt’s voice was deeper than expected, and he sang “Always on My Mind,” an Elvis Presley classic.
He hasn’t even been singing for five seconds before the audience bursts into applause, and he has also captured the attention of the judges. Within the same minute, he earns his first “I want you” from the judge, while the audience continues to acclaim his performance.

The second judge pushes “I want you,” which forces her chair to move toward Benedikt, and she is surprised by how he looks because it does not match his voice! Benedikt’s expression and motions now show his confidence and satisfaction, and he begins playing with high notes that impress the other judges, earning him the maximum four votes!
According to everyone who commented, Benedikt was a genuine discovery. Even though the presentation is in German, there are many English remarks, proving that good talent is acknowledged globally.
“He had a deep, kind of raspy country voice that I wouldn’t have expected from someone as young as him,” one observer observed of Benedikt’s performance. You did an excellent job, Benedikt. I suppose I will be ready to watch this multiple times because I am such a fan.”
“I can’t stop listening to this audition,” another person comments. “It’s fantastic!” says one.
To be sure, they didn’t exaggerate. He was actually amazing. We’ve included his full performance, as well as four more follow-up videos and an amazing duet of ‘Hallelujah.’ Begin viewing, but be warned: you will not be able to stop. Enjoy!
