A two-year-old math fanatic is going viral for his incredible numerical abilities.

Devan, a cute youngster, joined the stage of America’s Got Talent today (May 28) to exhibit his math abilities to judges Simon Cowell, Sofía Vergara, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel.

Devan auditioned to be a competitor this season. While we don’t know if he was successful yet, a sneak peek at his appearance reveals that the 2-year-old is a small genius.

An audition video shows the judges requesting Devan to first complete more elementary math questions—which are not straightforward for a 2-year-old. They then gradually made the equations more difficult. The video does not indicate if Devan answers his final questions correctly. We’ll have to stay tuned to see how things pan out.

The two-year-old began showing interest in math at just four months old.

Devan has been impressing followers with his Instagram and TikTok accounts, Devan Loves Numbers. He presently has approximately 900,000 Instagram followers. And he has over 1.3 million TikTok followers, which led to his appearance on the show.

“We had posted him on TikTok, and it went viral,” Devan’s father, Duane, told Long Island Press. “One of the producers had seen it and reached out to us, saying he thought Devan was a good fit for America’s Got Talent.”

“At first, we assumed America’s Got Talent just included singing and acting acts. And I wasn’t sure how a two-year-old performing arithmetic would fit on the program,” he said. “But,” Devan assured us, “he would be great.”

Duane explained that his son has been interested in numbers for almost his entire life. Devan’s parents noticed his interest when he was just a few months old.

“At four months old, we discovered his love of numbers,” Duane added. “When we were showing him learning shows, if we would change the channel from the math shows, he would start to cry, and when we would change it back, he would stop.”

The child is now learning to subtract, add, divide, and multiply. He also excels with Roman numerals and exponents.

“It’s never too early to begin teaching your youngster numbers. Devan is proof of that. And we really want to motivate kids, parents, and soon-to-be parents that if you start at a young age, you will have this outcome,” he said.
