Dylan Askin is a little boy who has been given a horrible diagnosis. Dylan Askin was just two years old when doctors discovered he had a rare type of lung cancer. In reality, his disease was one in ten million, and physicians informed him the kid had a little chance of survival.

Dylan was hospitalized for respiratory concerns around Christmastime in 2015. The youngster developed bacterial pneumonia. Dylan’s lungs were 80% covered with cysts and hardly functioned, according to further testing.

Doctors still didn’t expect the kid to live after rigorous therapy. At the time, he was being kept alive by a life support system. Dylan’s parents made the sad choice to remove his life support on Easter Eve 2016, after he had been in a coma for many weeks. His mother recalls the trying time:

Dylan, however, unexpectedly opened his eyes and started breathing on his own on Easter Sunday. Dylan’s mother, Kerry Askin, couldn’t believe it. The kid was taken off life support on April 4, his parents’ wedding anniversary. They claimed it was the finest gift they could have received.

Dylan’s health began to improve. He was discharged in May and concluded his cancer treatment in July. Dylan’s condition has been conquered for two years, and his lungs are now cancer-free.
