A snapshot of ‘six pals’ taking a selfie in the woods has had many looking for toilet paper after noticing a seventh face.
Eagle-eyed users on Reddit’s r/whenyouseeit thread have discovered the unnerving reality of the image.
At first sight, the image appears to show six people who are intended to be a ‘group of friends in Chile.’.
While on a hike, they take a cheerful selfie together, and the immediate thinking is, ‘Ah, isn’t that nice?’. Gorgeous, green scenery surrounds them, with a group of fellow hikers following closely.
Is a seventh person hidden?
In a closer study of the seemingly innocent shot, there are really seven people in the selfie.
A friend of mine sent me this picture from his group of friends in Chile

This one requires a skilled sharpshooter to spot.
We will give you a minute, and we apologize in advance.
However, if you can’t see anything, look in the bottom left corner of the shot.
There’s another person in between the two women on the left. Sorry if you just s**t yourself, but I did kind of warn you about the toilet paper.
‘I have goosebumps.’
After seeing the extra person, social media users were completely shocked, with one commenting, “I am not exaggerating when I tell you that when I finally saw it, I got shivers and felt actual terror. What the f*ck. “I believe in ghosts again.”
Another said, “My dumba** was staring at the red object in the bottom left corner. I noticed someone had cut off the picture. Then BOOM, I noticed it. “Runs to hide under the covers.”
Rather, a third participant reasoned, “It’s just another member of the group, with their face obscured by the two surrounding it and rendered eerie by that bright blue filter.
“You can even see the top of the person’s head and hair illuminated normally by the daylight.”
Was the photo doctored? Unlikely
Another Redditor expressed, “It definitely gave me chills.” Normally, I just laugh it off or believe the photo has been doctored in some way I can’t discern, but not this time.
“Plus, once you see it, you can’t pretend it’s anything else, like the way the guy’s jacket is bunched up, or a mix of that plus some of one of the girls’ hair.
“Nothing else fits. Something or someone doesn’t belong there.
That’s enough online for the day.
