Fans of Britain’s Got Talent burst into tears when 39 Post Office scandal victims were reunited.
This evening, the 39 sub-postmasters touched by the scandal performed for the judges on Britain’s Got Talent. The choir, appropriately called Hear Our Voice, gave a special performance for the emotional judges and audience. Fans watching the ITV talent competition were in tears when they witnessed the stunning and tragic performance. Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon were also upset during the special performance.

One admirer commented, “What a wonderful choir put together whilst going through the most dreadful of times #BritainsGotTalent,” and another added, “The winners of #BritainsGotTalent 2025? I haven’t even heard them yet and already think they deserve it.” A third person expressed their admiration, saying, “Holy s***, they’re good!” They were incredibly nice. Which makes voting for them much simpler because this Post Office scandal choir will undoubtedly win #BGT this year,” with a fourth writing, “Hear Our Voice delivered. They’re first-class. They have my mark of approval.
An enraged Simon Cowell told them, “I really hope you win this battle because it was disgusting how you were all treated.” I believe what occurred is what occurs when fools are in charge. They were bullies; they were dumb, inept, and dishonest. You’ve risen beyond this, and you’ll triumph because the people support you.
“You should attribute the lyric, falling down, to the morons who were in charge because it’s all going to come falling down—it will on that lot because they are, as I said, incredibly stupid people.”
Over 900 sub-postmasters were unfairly punished because malfunctioning Horizon software made it appear that money was missing from their branch accounts. A number of the victims received recognition in the King’s New Year’s Honours list.

Following Sir Alan Bates’ knighthood earlier in 2024, Lee Castleton, Seema Misra, Chris Head, and Jo Hamilton received OBEs for services to justice. Alan also received the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain award for his efforts.
Alan originally declined an OBE after learning that Paula Vennells, the former Post Office executive, had been appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2019. She later returned her CBE.
Speaking to The Mirror, he said, “The first thing that sprang to me when reading the letter was that Paula Vennells still had a CBE. I felt very humiliated. She presided over a policy that harassed hundreds of innocent individuals. It’s not simply that the government hasn’t asked her to return it. What’s worse is that, despite knowing how strongly people feel about it, how individuals have suffered, and in some cases died under her watch, she is unwilling to return it.”
