It’s awful that someone would dump a puppy, but happily, there are kind people ready to step in and save these unwanted pets.
Recently, a dog was left tethered to a picnic table in the rain until his savior rushed out to rescue him.
Stray Rescue of St. Louis posted a video of a little dog tethered to a seat in a local park’s picnic area.
The dog was alone, drenched in the rain, and terrified; the footage shows him continuously yelping as if pleading for rescue.

However, a rescuer called Donna arrived on the scene and freed the small dog, and he soon warmed up to her, as if he realized he was safe.
“He was so brave when we first approached, but then as soon as we got in the Jeep, he curled up on Donna’s lap and let out a deep sigh—that sigh said so much,” noted the folks at Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
“We’ve got you, gorgeous baby. We’ll get your darling self completely patched up in no time.”

The rescuers named the dog Wilbur. They identified Wilbur as “covered in ringworm” and administered medicinal baths to treat him.
Just days after his rescue, Wilbur found a loving foster home. His foster mother told The Dodo that he was “doing great” and was a “snuggle bug.” She told me that he desires nothing more than love.
It’s unclear where Wilbur came from, but it’s apparent he wasn’t getting the love and care he deserved. But now the small pup’s future seems bright.
“He’ll never have to be lonely or muster up that much bravery again,” Stray Rescue of St. Louis stated on Facebook.
