Rihanna looks stunning in a crystal mesh Alaïa dress while attending New York Fashion Week

Rihanna shines brightly, like a diamond!

On Friday, September 6, the Savage X Fenty mogul, 36, was in the front row at the Alaïa presentation at New York Fashion Week, wearing a spectacular crystal-covered mesh dress by the designer.

Rihanna’s glittering gown had flowing sleeves and an off-the-shoulder corset top, and she paired the semi-sheer look with matching stiletto shoes for the event at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.

Earlier in the evening, the “Lift Me Up” singer donned a corset-style light pink Alaïa dress with a thigh-high split down the middle to make a surprise appearance at Daily Front Row’s Fashion Media Awards at the Rainbow Room.

Rihanna paired the dazzling look with a similar baby pink teddy coat, which she removed to give a surprise speech to her fashion editor pal Jahleel Weaver. During the event, Weaver, along with Perfect Magazine creator Katie Grand, received the magazine of the year award.

Rihanna paired her second look with a pair of nude lace-up shoes, revealing her matching corset beneath the semi-sheer outfit.

The performer said during her speech that she had received the invitation “less than 36 hours ago” and had written it in the car “because it’s my friend.”

She said of Weaver, her stylist, and Fenty Beauty’s creative director, “This evening, I’m here to present an award to someone very special to me,” adding, “Someone who I’ve seen grow and evolve over the years.” I envisioned you as a fashion baby, wearing your fashion diapers.

“I was also in my fashion diaper at the time, and I had the privilege to witness you in all of the layers, all of the things that most people would not be able to even experience with you,” Rihanna said.

“But you have been the pinnacle of my development and the fashion element of everything,” the guitarist said, expressing his pride in you.

“I’m leaving behind everything you’ve done alone with me.” I won’t shed a tear, just like a mother would, and now I’m leaving the speech that I wrote.”

“But you’re someone I watched evolve into a scientist, a specialist, a student, and a teacher,” she remarked. She went on to say, “I get nervous as s— talking in front of pretty people.”

“But, tonight, it was worth it,” the mother-of-two declared before calling Weaver and Grand to the stage.
