Rihanna reveals she’s pregnant again with a startling new appearance at the Met Gala

Rihanna confirmed she is pregnant with her third child after her spectacular performance at the Met Gala.

The singer and mother of two (soon to be three) has a history of gagging fans on the Met Gala steps.

And, while Rihanna is notorious for being fashionably late to fashion’s biggest night of the year, her appearances on the iconic red carpet today (6 May) have surprised admirers.

Rihanna wore a fitting grey two-piece while out with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, with whom she has two children.

However, the 37-year-old’s prominent baby belly captured the attention. A source confirmed the good news to Page Six before the pair could even step on the carpet.

And, in an interview with CBS on the red carpet today, Rocky, a Met Gala co-chair, revealed that Rihanna’s costume tonight is… I don’t know what to expect, but please don’t hide her baby bump, do you understand?

Rocky and Rihanna, who have been together since 2020, were last seen on the famed red carpet in 2023, when the ‘Umbrella’ singer was expecting their second child, Riot.

Last year, the Barbados-born musician spoke to Interview about her growing affair with the 36-year-old record producer, adding that the two have similar hobbies and a great eye for detail.

The celebrity stated, “We viewed fashion the same. We witnessed similar creativity. We often ended up in the same circles. And as we grew older, we found ourselves constantly supporting each other’s companies, goods, and creative endeavors. I would wear his s**t, and he would attend my launches.

“But it wasn’t until the end of 2019 [that our relationship became romantic].”

The baby pregnancy announcement comes after people were taken aback by the couple’s costumes at the gala this year.

On Twitter, one admirer said, “This photo looks like it came from Vogue. She isn’t even trying. Congratulations, icon.

“Every Met Gala she’s attended these past few years, she’s been pregnant,” another wrote, to which a fan replied, “It’s her theme!!”

Many more quipped that the bump is a solid indicator that we won’t be getting an album anytime soon.

“Rihanna, when we mentioned R9, we meant the album… Not nine children,” read one.

Numerous well-known figures have already arrived at the event, showcasing their interpretation of this year’s theme, ‘Black dandyism,’ which aligns with the Costume Institute’s ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Style’ exhibition, taking place from May 10 to October 26.

According to Vogue, the topic was chosen to study the ‘value of apparel and style to the creation of Black identities in the Atlantic diaspora,’ and it is the first menswear-focused show since 2003’s ‘Men in Skirts.’

The event was also influenced by co-curator Monica Miller’s 2009 book, Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity.

Sabrina Carpenter, Sydney Sweeney, and Simone Biles have also made an impression on the carpet with their ‘Espresso fit.’
