Sarah Jessica Parker opens up about parenthood, saying people have ‘unfair’ expectations of her grown-up twin daughters…

Sarah Jessica Parker denies that having twin adolescent daughters is as difficult as others claim!

On Monday, April 21, the actress appeared on Jenna and Friends and spoke briefly about watching her twin girls grow up. Parker, 60, told Jenna Bush Hager and Justin Sylvester that she believes twin girls often receive a rough break.

The Sex and the City actor and husband Matthew Broderick have three children: twin girls Tabitha Hodge and Marion Loretta Elwell, both 15, and son James Wilkie, 22.

“I believe there’s a sort of unfair idea about teenage twin girls,” Parker told me.

Bush Hager, a twin herself, quickly responded, “Totally!”

“I find mine really likable,” Parker said.

While Sylvester said, “Knock on wood,” Bush Hager, 43, agreed with Parker but added, “I mean, we weren’t always likable.”

“And I will say that, yes,” Parker added. “But I genuinely like their company. They’re really interesting.”

“I’m sure your parents felt this way,” Parker said, referring to Bush Hager’s parents, former President George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush, who are twins themselves. “You have one of each type, so it’s like you’re always in a control study.”

“They attend the same school, and they have emotions. I can say to the school, “This is a proper control study.” “Like, this is feelings, and they can kind of tell the story of the larger group,” the And Just Like That star said.

“But they’re simply so intriguing. They’re often quite friendly and interested.”

The actress previously told PEOPLE in 2018 that her twins had “different interests.”

“They’re incredibly attached to each other, but they’ll also say, ‘I need time away from her,'” Parker explained. “Tabitha can play alone for hours.” Loretta constantly needs to check in.

On June 23, 2024, the actress posted an Instagram snap celebrating her children’s fifteenth birthday. She shared a photo of numerous pink birthday balloons.

“Two divine 15-year-olds.” We consider ourselves really fortunate, and we cherish you deeply. Parker’s caption read, “Happy birthday to our dearest Loretta and Tabitha.” “It brought me great delight to celebrate you both today. “X, Mama.”
