Sharon Stone claims that she has “lost half” of her wealth as a result of the recent financial crisis…

Sharon Stone has said that she “lost half” of her money due to a horrible “banking situation,” and by this, she is probably referring to the consequences of the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank.

The activist and Basic Instinct actress, who is 65 years old, went to the Women’s Cancer Research Fund’s An Unforgettable Evening on Thursday in Beverly Hills. There, she was honored with the Courage Award and gave a speech in front of a gathering filled with celebrities. She talked about the organization and its contributions to cancer research, including personal comments in her remarks, including those regarding her wealth. She spoke about the organization and its efforts in cancer research.

During her speech, in which she urged audiences to give more money to the organization, she shed a few tears on many occasions and remarked, “I know that thing that you have to go on and figure out how to text the money is tough.” I’m a technical fool, but I can write a f****ing check. And at this moment, it takes guts as well since I am aware of what is taking place. I just had half of my money wiped out by this banking problem, but it doesn’t mean that I’m not going to be here.

She did not elaborate on precisely what “banking item” she meant; nevertheless, the Silicon Valley Bank failed less than a week ago, making it the second-largest bank failure in the history of the United States. It has led to instability in the financial market as a consequence.

Stone began her remarks at the event by claiming that she often talks “off the cuff because, as you well know, I don’t give a s***,” but that she had notes with her yesterday night. Stone was referring to the fact that she doesn’t care about anything.

She said that she had been informed she had breast cancer in the past “because I had a tumor that was bigger than my breast.” Her revelation came during a discussion on mammograms, during which she also acknowledged the presence of breast cancer survivors in the audience. Although it ended up being misdiagnosed, “I went to the hospital asking, ‘If you open me up and it’s cancer, please remove both my breasts,’ because I am not a person defined by my breasts. You should realize that coming from me, it could seem comical since you’ve all seen them before.

Stone proceeded by saying, “You’ve all seen ’em since the operation and you don’t even know it.” Stone included this passage in her book that she published in 2021, in which she discussed undergoing surgery to remove tumors from her breasts in the 1990s. So, under no circumstances should you ever feel obligated to avoid getting a mammogram, a blood test, or surgery on the grounds that it is irrelevant. “I’m standing here telling you that I had one and a half or more tissue taken from each of my breasts, and none of you knew it,” she said.

Stone, who had a near-fatal stroke in 2001, also highlighted her late brother, Patrick Stone, who passed away in February at age 57 due to heart illness.

“My brother recently passed, and it doesn’t mean that I’m not here,” she said of activism. “None of us are having an easy time at this period. Even if this is a challenging moment in the globe, I’ll tell you one thing: I’m not going to let any politician tell me what I can and can’t do in my life. How I can and cannot live, and what the worth of my life is and is not. Thus, rise up. Stand up and express what you’re worth. I dare you. It is the definition of bravery.

The event, which took place at the Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire, was attended by a number of famous people, such as Rebel Wilson and his fiancee Ramona Agruma, Lisa Rinna and her husband Harry Hamlin, Julianne Hough, Lori Loughlin and her daughter Olivia Jade Giannulli, Kathy and Rick Hilton, Nia Vardalos, Paul Wesley, and many more. In addition to their performance, Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo walked the red carpet throughout the evening.

Stone has always been renowned for her forthrightness, and she recently disclosed that the reason she was unable to care for her son in the 1990s was because of the film Basic Instinct, which she had directed in 1992. She said that she was unable to maintain custody of Roan Bronstein, who is now 22 years old, due to her naked part in the movie on the Table for Two podcasts hosted by iHeartRadio this month. She remembers the judge at the time asking the youngster whether he was aware that his mother “does sex videos.” She said she was surprised by the boy’s response. Once she was removed from her child’s care, she began to suffer from cardiac difficulties, including what she described as “additional heartbeats in the upper and lower chamber of my heart.” Stone is also the mother of Laird Stone, who is 17 years old, and Quinn Stone, who is 16 years old.
