A Texas mother demonstrated she was better than expected when she prevented a guy from peering into her fifteen-year-old daughter’s bedroom as the girl changed her clothes.

Phyllis Pena, of Lake Jackson, Texas, noticed the strange guy peering into her daughter’s room.

She had just gotten home after running some errands for the family when she noticed the man with his face up to the glass of her daughter’s bedroom window, attempting to get a good look at the underage girl.

While getting ready for the day, Phyllis noticed the peeping tom peering into her fifteen-year-old daughter’s bedroom. It was 7 a.m., and the man knew precisely what he was looking for: a little girl changing into school clothes.

Fortunately, Phyllis went into protective mother mode. She dialed 911 and then went out to prevent the guy from examining her underage daughter. The suspect, 19, fled from the adolescent girl’s window as soon as she contacted the authorities. However, fate had it that he would be apprehended—not by the police but by the girl’s mother herself.

Mom was determined to shield her children from the dangerous guy. As the man attempted to escape the property, she stood on the sidewalk. Mom, on the other hand, does a stuttering step before tackling the man to the ground as if he were carrying the football for a touchdown.

Because of her tough job, Phyllis made national news on CBS Mornings. And she did an excellent job of shielding her children, including her fifteen-year-old daughter, whom the man was attempting to see naked.

The mother’s actions were captured on a home surveillance camera. After being tackled by Phyllis, the male was spotted fleeing. He was eventually captured by police and charged with habitation burglary with the intent to commit further offenses.

While this father will now have a criminal record, it’s remarkable what moms will go through to protect their children. This mother went above and beyond to ensure her daughter’s safety. She performed everything without hesitation. That is the characteristic of a wonderful mother.

Mama Bear did what she had to do to keep her cubs safe from a nasty peeping tom. She did it in style, too. Congratulations, Mom!

Her tackle was so professional that a football recruiter and coach took note.
