The fire that took the lives of five children shocked the entire community…

Bullhead City Mayor Steve D’Amico offered words of solace to the community in response to a tragic house fire that claimed the lives of five children. The victims, aged 2, 4, 5, 11, and 13, were unable to escape the blaze that broke out in a two-story duplex. Four of the children were siblings, and the fifth was an 11-year-old relative visiting at the time.

In his video statement, Mayor D’Amico expressed deep condolences to the grieving families, emphasizing that the loss is felt by the entire Bullhead City community. The tragedy has profoundly affected the community, and the mayor thanked the Bullhead City Police Department, firefighters, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for their response and ongoing investigation into the fire’s cause.

The mayor shared that a local funeral home, Dimond & Sons, has offered to cover the funeral expenses for the five victims. Additionally, a campaign has been established for formal donations to support the affected families through River Fund Inc.

A GoFundMe page organized by a friend of the siblings’ mother has raised over $16,000 to assist the parents in covering any necessary expenses. The money will provide support during this challenging time.

Mayor D’Amico announced a candlelight vigil scheduled for December 20 at 6 p.m. local time to honor the memory of the five children. He invited the community to attend the vigil and grieve together peacefully. The mayor also urged everyone to be respectful of the victims, their families, and the ongoing investigation as the community continues to mourn.
