The guy who forced Drew Barrymore to be taken from a New York stage has reportedly appeared near her Long Island residence

The man unexpectedly showed up at her house after catching Barrymore’s eye while she was on stage giving a discussion with actor and singer René Rapp at the 92nd Street Y in New York on August 21.

Footage from the event showed a man identified as ‘Chad Michael Busto’ yelling the actor’s name from the side of the stage, leading her to glance up in surprise.

“Oh my goodness, yes? “Hello!” she said as she looked over to the side of the stage where the man was coming.

“You know who I am,” the man added after introducing himself. I’ll need to visit you while you’re in New York.”

As security approached the guy, Barrymore and Rapp rose to their feet and exited the stage.

The footage was then uploaded online, with the description claiming the man was a stalker who had been removed from the venue following the incident.

However, it appears that his desire to see Barrymore only became stronger in the days that followed, as the New York Post now reports that the same guy was detained outside Barrymore’s Long Island house on Wednesday (August 23).

According to law enforcement authorities, a guy named Chad Michael Busto was apprehended after visiting door-to-door in Barrymore’s Southampton area in an attempt to locate the 50 First Dates actress.

According to Southampton Town Police Lieut. Todd Spencer, “It was reported to us that he was on the property—we did not see him on the property.”

Spencer stated that Busto was apprehended ‘in the neighborhood’ of Barrymore’s home and imprisoned for a short time.

Barrymore was not at home when the event occurred.

The New York Post acquired police files referring to a guy named Chad Michael Busto, including criminal trespass and harassment violations, but it has not been established whether they are related to the individual in the video.

After seeing the film from the event in New York, Barrymore’s followers were outraged by the man’s brash approach, with one Twitter user writing: “Leave celebrities alone!” They’re just regular individuals.”

Another remarked, “There has to be significantly better stalking laws,” while a third wrote, “Omg? Drew is a wuss! She does not deserve it! I’m sending her heaps of love! I hope people stop stalking her!
