The young family was unable to save enough money to purchase conventional housing. They viewed a video on yurts and determined that if they do regular repairs, this style of home is perfectly adequate for life. Of course, you can’t paste wallpaper inside, but Zach and Nicole devised a strategy, and six months later, they revealed the inside that they had created.
In general, a typical yurt is a moveable, circular, insulated tent 6–9 meters in diameter. It is still actively utilized by Central Asian nomadic peoples, so obtaining and purchasing a frame is not difficult. Zach and Nicole opted to use the classic design as a starting point but to give it a modern twist by incorporating a regular bedroom and kitchen.

The acquired yurt, with a diameter of 9 meters, was designed to make maximum use of the available area. From the exterior, it appears to be a traditional nomadic abode, yet inside, it looks nothing like a tent. The yurt’s whole interior design revolves around the center area, which has a bathroom with a toilet and a kitchen integrated into the wall.
The floor of the bedroom is the ceiling of the block within the yurt; the height of the tent was sufficient to build a bed on the second level. Each yurt includes a light window, which serves as natural illumination in the bedroom.

All other functional areas of the first floor are divided into eating and living rooms. A brief video tour of a contemporary yurt Zach and Nicole had a housewarming celebration for their neighbors. Many of them abandoned their doubts after viewing a nomadic yurt, and some even wanted to buy a similar dwelling for themselves.
