The lemonade stand was where the youngster made his money. And all of this to cheer up my mom following his father’s death

Brady Campbell, a six-year-old from Denver, wanted to earn some money so he could spend time with his mother and console her after his father died. For this, the child needed to uncover his entrepreneurial talent and start his own tiny lemonade stand.

Brandon, the boy’s father, died on July 7, 2019, of cancer. He was the one who first introduced his son to the notion of selling lemonade. After all, they each had a crucial strategy.

It was my father’s and my idea to set up a lemonade stand in order to take Mom out on a date. “I didn’t have enough money, but I needed to pay myself, so I did it,” Brady explained.

Despite the awful tragedy, the child established his own business because he now had a new motivation: he wanted to respect his father’s memory and soothe his mother.

On the first day, a police officer drove past the kiosk and radioed his colleagues to describe the situation. At the same time, additional police officers and firefighters went to Brady’s for soft drinks; thus, the guy earned $244 (about 15 thousand rubles) in a single day.

This act moved Amanda, the boy’s mother, during a tough moment for their family. She was also pleased by Brady’s demonstration of his father’s business ability.

Brandon was an experienced businessman who wanted to share what he knew with Brady. And I’m witnessing it. It does a lot for the soul.

As a consequence, an Internet version of the kiosk was built on the crowdsourcing website GoFundMe. All proceeds go to medical cancer research and Amanda and Brady’s future “dates.” The campaign has already raised approximately $34,000 of the $50,000 goal.

The son took his mother to a cafe for the first time to eat sushi and ice cream. Brady hopes they will continue to do this every Friday.

Maybe we’ll have “dates” like this every Friday night. We used to do this with Brandon, so I guess we’ll start doing it again and spend more time together, – Amanda stated.
