When the Presentation School Choir took the stage, no one realized what they were about to experience. The first pure, heavenly notes of Ave Maria waft into the air, and all else fades away.
The audience was completely enthralled—the performance was not only excellent, but truly spectacular. The judges sat in stunned silence, eyes wide, mouths agape; even Simon Cowell, known for his strict standards, was mute. As the choir’s harmonies rose higher, the crowd couldn’t keep still, standing, applauding, and cheering with all their might.

Franz Schubert composed “Ellen’s Third Song” in 1825 as part of Opus 5. It is regarded as one of Schubert’s most popular pieces. It has been recorded and sung by several musicians throughout the years under the title “Ave Maria.”. The video below shows one of these coverings. Wait until you see this!

The Presentation School Choir’s version of “Ave Maria” stunned the BGT crowd from the outset. Established in 1996, the choir program continues to thrive today.
