When asked who her most famous contact was, the daughter of a popular UK celebrity stunned a broadcaster.
The host of INVADES, a platform for student events around the UK, couldn’t believe her luck when she interviewed attendees at a racing event earlier this week.
In a video posted on Instagram, the host naively asked many guests about their claim to fame, with one interviewee casually disclosing her identity as the daughter of a Doctor Who actor.
When asked who her most famous contact was, the 22-year-old replied, “My mom,” before impersonating her famous parent by repeating her catchphrase.
“Am I bothered?” I’m not bored, but you are!” Erin offered a one-liner that the host immediately recognized.
For proof, Erin chose to FaceTime her mother, Catherine Tate. Lauren Cooper, one of Tate’s characters on The Catherine Tate Show, is famous for using the phrase “Am I Bovvered?” often.

Erin replied that her mother was in Los Angeles, “living the life.”
“Say hello,” Erin instructed her mother.
“I can’t believe you, because we’re on the freeway,” Tate said.
“She’s got better things to do than be at the races, apparently,” Erin said before departing from her mother for her LA commitments.
“Thank you for showing up, Mum. “I love you!”
Tate fans swarmed to the Instagram page, with one saying, “Aww, I love Catherine Tate.”
“Nah, that’s a flex; Catherine Tate is your mom,” a second admirer remarked, while a third agreed: “That’s a flex; her mom’s a legend.”

Someone else commented on Erin’s likeness to the Donna Noble actress, saying, “She looks just like her mother,” while another added, “She sounds a little like her mother.”
Tate reprised her role as Donna Noble, the Doctor’s companion, opposite David Tennant, for the show’s 60th anniversary, which aired three episodes from November 25 to December 9, 2023.
Tate has most recently appeared on television in the comedic series Going Dutch, which airs on Fox in the United States. Denis Leary plays US Army Colonel Patrick Quinn, who is moved to a facility in the Netherlands—dubbed the least significant Army base in the world—after going on an aggressive rant. Tate portrays Dr. Katja Vanderhoff, a local lady who piques Patrick’s attention.
