Children are adept at surprising their parents. Some youngsters, for example, may offer odds to fortune tellers on TV since they predict the future no worse than they do. However, there are occasions when children’s quirks become excessive. A kid from the Chinese district of Hefei nearly died while playing on an apartment balcony.

The father walked outdoors for a few minutes while his two-year-old kid was deep asleep, but he subsequently regretted it. A curious kid awoke and started to investigate the balcony. A perilous attempt nearly ended in tragedy when the infant fell from the 13th level.
Fortunately, a married couple living on the floor below noticed the youngster and took appropriate action: the father grabbed the child by the hand and tied him to the window bars with a belt, while the wife contacted rescuers.

Help arrived just in time to save the toddler from the trap. Rescuers had to cut through a metal bar barrier to get the toddler inside a neighbor’s apartment safely.
To protect the youngster, the neighbor wrapped the infant in a belt and fastened it securely to steel bars.
What gives the hero-neighbor such a rapid reaction?

As it turned out, the man used to be a forest firefighter, so helping others and, more crucially, ninja abilities are in his blood.
The next time, the boy’s careless parent will undoubtedly consider whether it is worth leaving the youngster at home alone.
