It may be very tough to have a loved one deployed in the military, especially with all of the stress and sadness that comes with it.

Of course, separation from children is the most difficult for parents; therefore, reuniting with their children is a really precious time.

Most of us feel emotional when we see warriors reconnect with loved ones, and it’s always a time that reminds us of the true value of family and how much they mean to us.

One mother received a really unique holiday gift from her family.

The family was on a weekend trip to Big Bear Lake in California in the week before the holiday, but Mom had no idea they were planning a surprise for her!

It took some time to get things organized properly without her suspecting anything.

So, what’s the catch, you’re presumably wondering?
Wait till you hear how imaginative and well-thought-out the surprise was!

It all began with a cutout of her son.
They presented her with a cutout of her kid, but that was only the beginning of the surprise they had in store for her.

With their surprise prepared, the family eventually gathered at Danny’s Restaurant in Big Bear, CA.

Everyone, even the restaurant staff, was surprised, except for mom, who assumed her sailor son wouldn’t be home for the holidays.

Mom smiled for the camera while holding a cutout of her kid, maybe thinking about how pleased she’d be if he was home for the holidays.

She had no idea her kid was standing directly behind her in his sailor’s outfit!

Mom mistook her daughter for inserting an astonishingly accurate picture of her kid into the shot.
“Grandma, take a look!” “Uncle Robin is there!” her granddaughter Quinn exclaimed as everyone urged Mom to look at the phone photo!

“This is a really cool Photoshop app,” she added. “How did you do it?”

We can’t blame her for not suspecting anything, but that wasn’t the end of the story!

They quickly took another shot, but Mom didn’t spot the intruder hiding behind them and mistook it for an extraordinarily accurate editing tool!

It couldn’t have been much more than an extremely amazing Photoshop program for the mom, so the family had to keep her attention focused.

She eventually turned around and let out a joyful scream as she realized it was her kid who had been waiting there all along!

The entire restaurant cheered as they embraced, and Mom began to cry.

She couldn’t believe her sailor son had arrived and would be spending the holidays with his family!

“You had no idea; you didn’t even think about looking back!” said her daughter.

When the surprise was finished, the family could pose for a formal photo and celebrate their joyous reunion.

Mom eventually managed to gather herself, wiping the tears of delight from her face, still stunned by the surprise her loved ones had painstakingly arranged for her.

It was the nicest Christmas present they could have given her!
