The relevance of field excursions to education cannot be emphasized. It is an opportunity to deepen your knowledge in settings other than the classroom.
Despite this, there are students who are unable to join on field trips. Their parents might not be able to pay for them, or they might have a handicap that stops them from going.
Ryan King, who was just 10 years old at the time, unfortunately found herself in this predicament.
She was afraid that because she had spina bifida, she would not be able to go on the next field trip because the location would not be suitable for people who use wheelchairs.
Yet things started to look up quite quickly.
Spina bifida is a condition that begins to manifest in a person while they are still developing inside their mother’s womb.
It is brought on by a lack of completion in the spinal growth process. This leads in a space being left in the bones, which can lead to the nervous system being damaged in a way that cannot be reversed.
This almost always results in youngsters being weak, and in very extreme cases, it can even lead to full paralysis of the legs.

In order to examine the fossil beds, Ryan’s class was on a field trip to Falls of the Ohio State Park.
While she finds it frustrating that some buildings and settings are inaccessible to people using wheelchairs, there is not much that can be done about the natural environment.
She continued to have the sensation of being left out.
The instructor’s name is Jim Freeman; please greet him. Her compassionate teacher offered to carry Ryan the entire distance in order to make sure that she wouldn’t miss anything important along the way.
She couldn’t contain her excitement any longer.
Not only did he make it simpler for her to study, but he also provided her with the opportunity to go on an exciting field trip with her class, which she would not have had if it were not for him.
The fact that Ryan’s mother, Shelly, has lauded his demeanor on Facebook shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone.

She said, “If I haven’t talked about the school my children attend enough already, please hear me out. They are going on an excursion to Falls of the Ohio today for their class.
Obviously, this is not available. When I was getting ready for a “alternative field trip day,” a male educator approached me and remarked, “I’m happy to lug her around on the falls all day!”
She added that she is extremely excited to accomplish this on her own without assistance from me.
We are extremely blessed to have an entire school that is so considerate and understanding, and that she is never made to feel like she is being left out.
Watch the video below, and let’s thank this teacher for being kind in the comments.
