Arnold Schwarzenegger has been a consistent exerciser since he was a child, when his father forced him to do it every morning.
Schwarzenegger told Entertainment Tonight on May 22 at the launch of his action comedy series “FUBAR” that this is why he doesn’t consider himself disciplined—working out is just entrenched in his life.
“I remember my father telling me, ‘You cannot have breakfast first; you must earn it.'” You must perform 200 sit-ups and push-ups.’ So that’s how I grew up,” added Schwarzenegger, 75.
He is “addicted to working out every day,” according to the bodybuilding star and actor, who began lifting weights as a youngster in his native Austria.

“If I do a film, or like when I was doing ‘FUBAR,’ we were working out when we were night-shooting, at three in the morning sometimes, and at five in the morning, or at nine in the morning,” Schwarzenegger explained. “So it doesn’t really matter.” I only need to finish my one-hour workout and then go bike riding to get some cardiovascular conditioning.”
Schwarzenegger told Insider in July 2022 that he trains for up to 1.5 hours each day, riding for 45 to 60 minutes and doing weights for 30 minutes.

His goal now is to keep his muscles and fitness.
“It just makes you feel good, no matter what you do,” Schwarzenegger explained to Entertainment Tonight. “If you make a TV show, a movie, write a book, or give a speech, “Whatever you do, you must be healthy and energetic.”
