Tom Hanks has heated up Donald Trump supporters when his MAGA-wearing ‘Doug’ character appeared on Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary special.
Celebrities from all over traveled to New York on Sunday (February 16) to commemorate SNL’s significant birthday milestone.
Many A-listers, including Meryl Streep, Martin Short, Jack Nicholson, and Aubrey Plaza, attended the 50th anniversary of the sketch comedy show.
During the celebration, Hanks appeared in a comedy that divided Trump fans.

The Forrest Gump actor wore a red ‘Make America Great Again’ cap while playing a man named Doug on Black Jeopardy, a parody quiz show.
During the farce, the spoof show’s presenter, Kenan Thompson, attempted to shake Doug’s hand, but he originally declined.
Doug ultimately made the welcoming sign before exclaiming, “I don’t like that, whoa, whoa, whoa.” Maybe I’ll establish a program called White Jeopardy and invite you to appear.”
Many Trump fans took to Twitter after the sketch aired, and it’s safe to say the huge majority were unimpressed.
According to one tweet, “Tom Hanks went on SNL dressed like a slob, mocking millions of Trump supporters and portraying them as dumb, r*cist rednecks.”
“Keep it up, Libs. You will never win another election.
Link Lauren, a former aide to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., wrote, “Tom Hanks just walked out on SNL wearing a MAGA hat and acting like he didn’t want to shake a Black man’s hand.
“This show wonders why its ratings are so low. Trump won the popular vote. The overused cliché that MAGA is racist is awful.
SNL is an unfunny program for the snooty liberal elite. The present Republican Party is a large tent alliance made up of many former Democrats. Good riddance, SNL!”
A third Trump fan said, “No one in the audience laughs when Tom Hanks comes on SNL as a racist Trump supporter who refuses to shake hands with a Black man,” while another said, “This makes me upset. Tonight’s SNL spoof featured Tom Hanks as a MAGA bigot who recoils as a Black game show presenter approaches to shake hands.
