Two of the greatest living vocalists have joined forces for a duet, ‘What About Us’

Prior to Pink’s Trustfall album’s release on February 17, the two superstars will collaborate for an entire hour on The Kelly Clarkson Show. They teased the upcoming episode with a sneak preview of both singers duetting a rendition of the acrobatic pop star’s 2017 hit “What About Us.”

Pink and Clarkson discussed the song’s inspiration before an acoustic guitarist started playing the song, which was featured on the Beautiful Trauma album 2017. The 43-year-old “Who Knew” artist stated, “We’re not listening to each other right now, and it’s so loud and disgusting and furious.” And individuals are being altered and forgotten.

I don’t see why so many individuals in our world are ignored just because a small number of people decided they didn’t like it, continued Pink. One of the most amazing lessons my father ever gave me was that my voice mattered and that I could and would make a difference.

“One person can change a lot,” she continued. “I believe that things would be very different if we all had the opportunity to experience each other more.”

Then, 40-year-old Clarkson presented the concert. What about all the times you claimed to have the solutions? The Grammy winners harmonized their vocals. What about us? What about all the unfulfilled happily ever afters? What about all the misguided plans? What about love? What about trust? What about us?

Pink wore red track pants with a white patterned shirt and a black jacket for the sitting performance, and Clarkson wore a long green dress with a thick brown belt to tighten her waist.

The “So What” singer discussed her new album Trustfall in another teaser clip that was made available before the show was scheduled to run, stating that its subject is “like the world is ending.”

“I lost my father; I’m still a wife, a mother, and a daughter, and it’s epidemic. Eight months later, my virtually closest friend in the world passed away, and I’m still a parent today,” Pink remarked. So after writing all those songs, you finally think, “Well, if we’re going to slide sideways off the axis, let’s dance.”
