‘Unacceptable!’ The audience reacted negatively to Simon Cowell’s employment of his son as a judge to evaluate contestants, despite the boy’s young age

The judges of THE BRITAIN’S GOT TALENT were surprised tonight when their children joined the panel to select their own Golden Buzzer.

Each judge got two picks this season, but with all of their options exhausted, tonight’s genuine final auditionees, the skipping ensemble Haribow, had to wow everyone to advance.

The ITV talent show resumed on Sunday, with judges Cowell, Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli, as well as presenters Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, revealing the final few hopefuls for semi-final week.

During the episode, Japanese skipping dancers Haribow, who somersaulted across the stage and performed different acrobatics, left the judges stunned.

They earned a standing ovation from the crowd, as well as multiple requests from BGT fans for a golden buzzer, which would advance them directly to the semi-finals and is typically only used by the judges and hosts.

Even with their microphones, the judges couldn’t hear the audience’s loud yells for the Golden Buzzer.

Alesha and Tonioli both stated that they had “none left” regarding the buzzers, while Cowell stated that he “did not know what to say.”

“My son is literally going crazy right now,” Cowell explained.

His son Eric, whom he has with wife Lauren Silverman, then approached and pressed the buzzer, as did Holden’s daughter Hollie, whom she shares with record producer Chris Hughes.

“Hollie!” Amanda said as she realized what was going to happen.

The youngsters raced up onto the stage, around the judges, and pressed the Golden Buzzer to thunderous cheers from the audience.

“They pressed it for the audience,” Holden added, before calling the dancers “unbelievable.”

Donnelly congratulated the dancing ensemble, saying, “That’s never happened before.”
