When a little boy wins leukemia after fighting for three years, he returns to school, where he is welcomed with a standing ovation

Each triumph in life is highly fulfilling, especially if you win by defeating your lifelong struggles with your own demons.

Cancer, epilepsy, congenital heart disease, TB, diabetes, heart issues, and other fatal ailments are examples of demons.

JO, his nickname, smacked his head on the headboard of his bed in 2016, creating a dark-colored mark on his face. Something similar to a Hematoma is when blood collects outside of blood vessels, creating a discolored mark; this commonly happens when you strike a region of your body.

Jo’s parents took him to the hospital for various tests before returning him home. When they received a call from their family doctor to take Jo to the emergency department, they discovered he had acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

ALL, or acute lymphoblastic leukemia, is a blood cell lymphoid line malignancy characterized by the development of a significant number of immature lymphocytes. Tiredness, pale skin tone, cough, easy bleeding or swelling, swollen lymph nodes, or bone discomfort are some of the symptoms.

Jo’s parents were astonished and saddened when they learned the news. After getting the dreadful news, the family was saddened.
“Screenshot: It was a tremendous shock since that’s when the word cancer began to be bandied about… Everything came to a halt right there and then.” John Zippy, Jo’s father

Jo and his family were hospitalized for 18 days following the initial diagnosis for more testing, blood transfusions, and bone marrow biopsies. Jo will be in and out of the hospital for the next three years while he undergoes rounds of radiation and chemotherapy to cure his disease. He also took medications with frightening negative effects.

Despite missing several courses due to his sickness, the boy never gave up on his academics. He had outstanding scores despite a few absences, indicating that he continued to study even while lying down in the hospital bed.

His family stood by his side every step of the way. They even made a t-shirt that said, “In this family, no one fights alone.”
Defeating leukemia

Jo’s fight with leukemia was ultimately conquered after three years of therapy! Thanks to his family’s comprehensive support and the prayers of the community,
Jo earned a standing ovation when he returned to school after finishing his final session of chemotherapy. When he walked into the corridor at St. Helen Catholic School, his instructors and pupils were all smiling and laughing.

The video quickly became popular on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
This video has inspired many individuals who are now facing cancer; it encourages them not to give up and lose hope.
