After a few drinks, a woman leaves her car overnight at a restaurant. When she wakes up, she discovers a note on the windshield.

Grzelak-Schultz had a couple of beers the night before, according to CTV News. Instead of taking a chance and driving home, she opts for a safer alternative, leaving her car in the parking lot.

Instead of a parking penalty, Grzelak-Schultz found a gift card and a pleasant message written by the bar manager when she read the note the next day when she got the car.

Jay McClain, the managing partner of Original Joe’s, sent the communication with the subject line “Guest Original Joe’s Sherwood Park.” He stated:

According to Grzelak-Schultz, the message was either a ticket or a complaint about her car being parked overnight in the lot. The restaurant management went out of his way to accept his conclusion, which pleased and surprised me.

Drunk drivers were responsible for more than 10,000 deaths in the United States in 2016, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
