When the principal announced that he would be dancing, the children all laughed. Next, the music began…

Young pupils frequently only consider the adults in their lives in terms of the roles that they play. A teacher is a teacher to a youngster, for instance. Even if the adult is an excellent musician or painter, the youngster would never believe it since the instructor is always imparting knowledge to the children. The same is true for bus drivers, school administrators, and crossing guards.

Students questioned their principal, Tyson Kane, because of this when he claimed to be a dancer. Although the kids adored him and thought he was a “cool,” principal, they were unaware that he also had a double life as a dancer.

You can watch Principal Kane convince his skeptical student body that he is an excellent dancer in the viral video that follows. He waits for the music to drop in the middle of the gym before launching into a sequence of breakdance maneuvers that astound the kids watching from the stands. They are in awe of his ability to dance, despite the fact that he is their principal. But via actions like these, he showed them all that he was deserving of the “cool” moniker.

Kane has a long history of being an excellent teacher. He acknowledged that he had always aspired to be a fantastic teacher and leader for today’s kids during an interview with Business Wire. And as a result of doing just that, he received the Ryan Award for outstanding leadership. He has always believed that being a great teacher is the best way to help his kids, so he works hard to be one every day (even if it requires him to occasionally break out into a break-dancing performance on the gym floor).

In the interview, Principal Kane asked all educators to rise up and carry out their duties to the best of their abilities since they have a significant impact on the development of American society’s future generations.

“The key to a successful school is having excellent teachers.” We have an outstanding team and a vibrant school atmosphere. I just want us to be the best. We work too hard and are too committed to not see the results, so I want this. And our children merit it.

Kane is aware that excellent teachers require both leadership support and the freedom to act in accordance with their moral convictions.
Kane, though, also values the element of surprise. Children enjoy surprises, so when he stood up in front of them at the school assembly in the gym, he used the chance to give them something that no kid anticipated. The breakdance routine also shocked the kids and made them appreciate their principal even more than before.

Please view the video below for one minute. It will be entertaining to watch Kane do a dance routine in front of the Chicago charter school.

What do you think of this school principal’s method of operation? Should more instructors be involved in their interactions with students and the tasks they are given?
