The NBC series is currently in the middle of season 20, and the auditions are making quite a stir among the judges and viewers! Girish and the Chronicles (a rock band from Sikkim, India) also made an impression in the June 3 program.

Mel B, Howie Mandel, Sofía Vergara, and Simon Cowell were surprised by the quartet’s audition, which resembled a rock performance from the 1980s. Everyone was on their feet, singing along to Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain.” As if that weren’t enough, Mel B had to give her opinion on Girish and the Chronicles’ audition.

“I don’t know what it is about you,” she says in a YouTube video. “But I think you’re one of my favorite acts so far this season!” Simon was similarly astounded by Girish and the Chronicles’ audition. “You can’t fake the reaction behind this,” according to him. “They liked you, and we liked you. By the way, your voice is lovely.

When Girish and the Chronicles’ audition went viral on social media, people were completely taken aback by their performance.

“The fact that they did an Adele song made it really cool,” one commenter said. “What is going on?” These guys are wonderful. Their performance rivals, if not surpasses, that of most prominent rock bands. “Excellent performance,” another person commented. “The world is not prepared for GATC!!!!” Rock and roll is here to stay 🤘,” another follower remarke”.

Did Girlish and the Chronicles’ tryout land them a seat in the competition? You bet they did! We’ll have to wait and watch how their experience on AGT unfolds during season 20.
