Alan Jackson, who will receive the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award, is one of those who will return to the event. The event’s organizers, on the other hand, will be crossing their fingers that his attendance goes off without a hitch.
Alan allegedly departed the CMA Awards event in 2016 as Beyonce and the Dixie Chicks performed to mark the CMA Awards’ 50th anniversary.

Alan had previously stated his displeasure with pop stars attending country music awards ceremonies.
When asked about his hopes for the CMA’s 50th anniversary banquet, Alan said, “Yeah, they might play some real country music.”
“But I understand how the dang television station is trying to get the ratings with whatever they think will support it, with some big event with some other type of artist on there,” stated the speaker.

“Yep, perhaps it’ll be a good country music show for a change,” he said.
Despite the fact that Beyonce is not a country music artist, the performance was well-received. Alan was upset that he didn’t get his way, so he stormed out of the wedding.
Alan “stood up from the front row and walked out in the middle of the performance,” one Nashville manager told Billboard.

Alan might not be happy this year, however, because Hollywood celebrity Jessica Chastain and Los Angeles Dodgers player Mookie Betts are both scheduled to deliver awards.
However, Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire, Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, and many other country musicians will take the stage to delight the star-studded audience at the 2022 event.
