Woman discovered a big hole in the ground, and when she found out what it was, she couldn’t believe her eyes

Emma James spotted a hole in the ground while mowing the grass in front of her house using a lawnmower. The trench expanded in size as the day progressed, eventually reaching a depth of two meters. What was even more unusual was the discovery of several rusted STEPS within!

Although the trench is no longer wide enough for a man to get inside, officials think the tunnel uncovered in their yard connects to a canal that was filled 35 years ago.

The two contacted the business that built the house in 1984, but it was unable to tell them where the tunnel led. Emma explains, “It’s unusual that there are steps leading down, but we don’t know what they lead to, and there’s no cover to protect them.” Down there is cement and rusted metal. We just want someone to come and tell us what it is; I do not want to leave such a pit in my yard.”

The local council finally confirmed to the two that the tunnel leads to a rum-covered sewer, but the two wives remain skeptical until an investigator arrives. Despite the authorities’ assurances, no one is dispatched to investigate her situation.

The couples hope no one falls into new pits. Not wanting to cover it until they found out what was wrong, they put signs to deter people from falling there.
