Good fashion is something that never goes out of style. If your sense of style is timeless, your clothing will be fashionable for many years to come!
Seventy years later, this grandmother’s granddaughter wore her wedding gown with no less flair than she did!
Maddy Bill is a 27-year-old Ambler, Pennsylvania resident. She showcased the bag her 91-year-old maternal grandmother, Marie D’Alessandro Donato, gave her in a TikTok video.
There’s a lot of intriguing stuff in the suitcase. It includes every dress her grandma wore during her 1952 trip to New York. According to the video, this is the first time anybody else has opened the suitcase in almost seven decades!
Her grandmother, who had gone on a honeymoon with her late husband Anthony James Donato, washed everything she wore to keep it safe for her grandkids and children. That was successful! Seventy years later, hundreds of people continue to pay tribute to her work on the internet.

I’ve known about this suitcase since I was a little child. According to a recent conversation, “My mom found it when she was a little older, told me about it, and generously saved it for my sister and me when we were old enough.”
“After opening it, I thought, ‘This is the best thing I’ve ever seen,’ because it brought back so many memories for me, especially of my grandparents at that point in their lives. My grandfather died around 21 years ago, so it’s quite unbelievable,” the woman added.
Her grandparents, the Donatos, married in 1952 and spent their honeymoon in Manhattan, including a stay at the New Yorker Hotel.
Bill recalls her responding, “I did not care because I was with my honey,” referring to her as his father-in-law. “And she had an amazing time spending time with him and truly absorbing the fact that they were at a point in their lives where they could begin a family and pursue all of her life’s goals,” she told me.

After posting a video of herself with only a bag, she received hundreds of responses pushing her to try on the dresses, which she did. She tried on clothing and jewels belonging to her grandmother.
She was the ideal fit for everything. She also mentioned that the garments were excellently stored.
Madeline commented, “It’s astonishing how undamaged they remain, given it was 70 years ago.” Some of the parts retain their springiness because of the elastic.”
She showed her first item to her followers, which has intrigued her since she was a youngster. She wore a black dress that hugged her waist and had short sleeves. She admits that she was always intrigued by a photo of her grandma wearing the costume when visiting the New Yorker hotel.
She also tried on a sleeveless blouse, skirt, and lovely gray jacket, which she claimed her grandma had worn on the train to the major city. Without a doubt, she has an excellent sense of style!
She can’t wait to share a piece of her grandma with the world and demonstrate what an amazing woman she is.
Madeline Bill claims she informed her grandma about her fame and how everyone admired her sense of style.
“I want to save it for someone. I want it to hold value for someone in the future, akin to my grandmother’s gift to me, instead of merely being a used piece of clothing. Perhaps it will be my future child or a wonderful person younger than me,” the woman explained.

What a lovely article about the wonderful link between a grandma and her grandchild!
