Zahara, 18, is one of Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie’s and Brad Pitt’s six daughters.
Between 2002 and 2007, the former couple, who had been married for 11 years, adopted their three eldest children, Maddox, 22, Pax, 19, and Zahara, 18.
They also have three biological children, Shiloh, 17, and Knox and Vivienne, who are 15 years old.
Zahara looks to be separating herself from her renowned father, as she loves college life.
The kid joined Spelman College’s Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority last week.
And, at the sorority’s admission ceremony, the undergraduate screamed, “Zahara Marley Jolie.”
Zahara is a member of the Mu Pi Chapter of the first historically black sorority in the United States. The Mu Pi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha was created in the 1970s, after Alpha Kappa Alpha was founded in 1908.
At the admission ceremony, she was shown dancing with her fellow sorority sisters before introducing herself: “My name is Zahara Marley Jolie.” And [I] arrived from the Golden State in the city of heaven, Los Angeles, California.”
Social media users were quick to point out that she did not disclose her father’s surname.
@essenceIvies Up! The first Black sorority just gained a very familiar face as a member! Congratulations to Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who just joined Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. at Spelman College!
A user said the following: “I wasn’t going to say anything, but I definitely peeped that Zahara left Pitt off her last name.”
“She said Zahara Marley Jolie,” said another. Give that name some respect.”
A third member of the family commented: “Zahara shouting her last name ‘Jolie’ with all her might and stopping is so pleasing to me; we love to see it.”
Several social media users brought up charges of violence leveled against Pitt following an incident on a flight in 2016, in which he allegedly ‘grabbed’ Jolie by the head and shoulders, shook her, and slammed her into a wall.
At the time, a spokeswoman for Pitt called the charges “completely false.”
Following a thorough investigation by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services and the LAPD, the actor was exonerated of all claims of abuse.
Zahara is expected to start at Spelman in the fall of 2022. Fellow parents saw her renowned mother during move-in events in August of that year.
Jolie took to Instagram at the moment to celebrate her daughter’s acceptance into Alpha Kappa Alpha.
“Zahara with her Spelman sisters!” she commented beside a photo of Zahara and a handful of her new college classmates.
“Congratulations to all the new students starting this year,” she went on to say. “It was a very special place and an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl.”
