At the 2017 Shanghai Slalom Open, Sofia Bogdanova, a young Russian rollerblader, wowed the crowd with an intricate and accurate routine. Sofia, wearing a dark blue minidress, moved through the cones with ease and balletic grace, performing most of her act on her toes.

She won the tournament that year and the next year, too, thanks to her outstanding performance. Sofia, who was born in Moscow, Russia, on August 6, 2005, started skating at the age of four with ice skating classes and subsequently developed a passion for roller skating.

Even though Sofia had a natural talent, she had to work hard to succeed. For someone her age, she makes a huge commitment to practice five days a week. Although she had to give up a lot of common childhood pastimes due to her dedication, it is evident from her amazing accomplishments that her efforts were worthwhile.
