A twin dedicates a powerful original song to their late brother

Musicians frequently use adverse experiences in their lives to create their art. Wyn Starks is a singer and songwriter who grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and now resides in Nashville, Tennessee. He’s recorded a few CDs in recent years, but winning an audition on “America’s Got Talent” is his greatest break yet.

Wyn chose to perform one of his original compositions, a personal ballad called “Who I Am,” at this important point in his career. This song resonated with the AGT judges, particularly Sofia Vergara. “I’m a twin and recently lost my twin brother,” Wyn said before beginning his song. “It’s been quite hard. He was one of my biggest supporters, so being here means everything to me. I am doing this for him. “I want to do this to honor him.”

When the judges learned about Wyn’s late brother Kenny, they all expressed sympathy, but Vergara’s expression showed that she sincerely empathized with him. He began to sing, and it became evident that he had a distinct voice and is a gifted lyricist. His music is delicate and heartfelt, and his performance is superb. Judge Howie Mandel was absent due to illness, but Wyn received a standing ovation from the other judges. Vergara wiped away tears as she explained why his performance was so precious to her.

“That was wonderful,” she remarked. “I’m devastated for your loss. I understand what that implies. I also lost my brother, and I can’t imagine what it’s like to lose a twin, since that link must be something indescribable.”

Heidi Klum agreed, emphasizing Wyn’s distinct voice and encouraging producer Simon Cowell to “make this song a hit.”

“We always say every year we meet the most incredible people on this show,” according to Cowell. “And now we have met you. Honestly, Wyn, you are fantastic. We all saw your apparent emotion. That song was fantastic. I think that was the appropriate homage to your brother, and I believe the occasion might be a watershed moment for you. “I sincerely hope so.”

Wyn’s song is quite inspiring, especially when you learn the story behind it. We hope Wyn’s success will help to soothe his pain as he celebrates Kenny’s memory with this wonderful song.
