Billy Joel, 75, released new images of his daughter Della Rose to mark her 9th birthday on Monday, Aug. 12, expressing how much she meant to him in a heartfelt Instagram post.
“Happy 9th Birthday, Della Rose. Watching you grow and shine, keeps us all in awe. We love you 🩷,” the five-time Grammy winner captioned the images of Della with young goats and ponies.
The “Tell Her About It” singer’s fans instantly pointed out in the comments that Della is a replica of her famous father.
“Omgoodness, she looks just like you,” one admirer said, while another echoed the resemblance accusations. “She is your double!”

Della is Joel’s middle child among his three children. He and his wife, Alexis Roderick, have two children, Della and Remy Anne, who are all six. He also has an adult daughter, Alexa Ray, 38, with his ex-wife Christie Brinkley.
Joel’s fans also praised Della’s theatrical presence. Della periodically joins her father onstage during his concerts, most notably on August 9 in Cardiff, Wales, and on July 25 in New York City for the final show of his record-breaking stay at Madison Square Garden.
She’s been with him on stage since she was at least three years old.
Della and Remy joined their father onstage during the New York City event to perform “My Life,” with Della occasionally singing along on the microphone.
“I suppose it’s her life now. “Thank you, girls.” Joel addressed the star-studded audience, which included former President Bill Clinton, Jimmy Fallon, and Paul Rudd.
