Despite having difficulty finding work after graduation, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos provided their son with financial support for a whole year…

Kelly Ripa and her family have had a good deal of success throughout their lives. Both she and her husband, the actor Mark Consuelos, have carved out successful careers for themselves in the entertainment world. In addition, all three of the couple’s children have been thrust into the public eye as a result of their parents’ notoriety. Despite this, we shouldn’t assume that they have an easy time of it throughout their whole lives. Ripa said that she and Mark made the decision to help their oldest son, Michael Consuelos, when he was going through a tough time after he graduated from college in 2020. She also told how they made this decision. Michael is their eldest child.

As a talk show presenter, Ripa is famous for her bubbly personality, and in addition to that, she has experience working in the entertainment industry as an actor and a television producer. In the past, she has been in a number of roles on comedies and soap operas, such as “All My Children,” and she now co-hosts the syndicated morning talk program “Live with Kelly and Ryan.” Both of these positions are among her most recognized performances to date. Ripa and Mark’s first encounter occurred on the set of the ABC soap series, where Mark was a recurring character at the time. Also, he is well-known for his supporting role on the television series “Riverdale,” in which he played Hiram Lodge.

The well-known couple has achieved great success in both of their individual fields of endeavor, as well as in their joint endeavors, and it would seem that their marriage has also been a great success. Ripa and Mark have unquestionably established themselves as one of the most adored couples in Hollywood, and the two of them have a stunningly lovely family. Both the family’s townhouse in New York City and their property in The Hamptons are where they congregate the most of the time to be with one another.

All three of the couple’s children are now in their early 20s: Michael, who is 25 years old, Lola, who is 21, and Joaquin Consuelos, who is 20. As Ripa learned following Michael’s graduation, just because a parent no longer has children living at home with them does not imply that the parent is no longer able to provide emotional and financial assistance to those children when they are in need.

Ripa was just 25 years old when they secretly wed in Mexico in 1996, and by the time 2023 rolled around, they had been happily married for a whopping 26 years. In 1997, they became parents to their son Michael, then in 2001 and 2003, they welcomed their daughter Lola and son Joaquin.

Ripa said that being empty nesters hasn’t been an entirely negative experience for her and her husband as their children have grown up and moved out to start their own lives apart from their parents. She revealed to Insider how eye-opening it was for her to take her first trip with Mark after the children had grown up.

“That was an extravagant and exciting experience. We didn’t get bored. Our children believed that we may miss them or that we could be bored in some manner, so they contacted us many times to check in on us. “And we tried to pretend that it wasn’t as much fun without you guys, but we had the time of our lives,” she continued. “And we tried to pretend that it wasn’t as much fun without you guys.”

Ripa is very supportive of her children as they embark on the trip towards maturity and self-sufficiency; yet, she is also aware that there are some obstacles on their path that need further assistance. On an episode of “Live with Kelly and Ryan” that aired in November 2022, she stated that her oldest son had suffered after graduating in 2020, which was during the beginning of the epidemic.

“Growing up in this day and age is challenging. That is really challenging for children. The availability of jobs is not what it used to be. This pattern is being driven by the economy. “I know that Michael finished college in May of 2020, and he had a writing position set up that vanished because the pandemic stopped down the production, and it simply never came back,” she added. “I know that Michael completed college in May of 2020.

Ripa explained that she and Mark gave Michael a one-year grace period during which they helped him financially so that he could get through the “unique time right now to have kids in college.” This was because Michael’s options were drying up as a result of the “unique time right now to have kids in college.”

On the broadcast, Ripa also said that while though she and her husband do offer “safety nets” for their children, it does not imply that they do not want their children to be able to support themselves.

She remarked, “I told them that these are years that you won’t get back, and this is a period when we won’t mind supporting you financially as long as you work — as long as you retain a job for your add-ons, as I call them.” “I told them that these are the years that they won’t get back.”

She added that the experiences she had growing up and becoming an adult had given her valuable lessons about life that she hoped would be passed on to her children.

“As long as you work for that, we will pay the fundamental expenditures, but once you graduate, that’s finished.” — “The bells and whistles; the things that people desire.” So we tied the knot when we were 25, do you get what I mean? “And we believe that since we didn’t have safety nets, we got something cooking,” she reasoned. “And we feel like we got something cooking because of that.”

While Michael may have had some lows in the year 2020, he most definitely enjoyed a high in 2022 when he was included in the Sexiest Man Alive edition of People magazine. Despite the fact that Michael may have experienced some lows in the year 2020. He was highlighted in the issue’s portfolio on famous sons, among other rising stars such as Dylan and Paris Brosnan, Pierce Brosnan’s kids. Michael discussed the dynamics of his connection with his father and offered some thoughts. He said to the People:

“My father has a really interesting closet. I often go into my dad’s closet, and he is always aware of my doing so. He’s like, “Hey, where’s this?” or something like that. And I’m like, ‘Well, you weren’t home. You spent some time in Vancouver, and given that, I assumed that… He’s like, ‘Don’t figure, ask!'”

He said that he was a “huge suit man” and that “whenever I have any opportunity to dress up, wear a tie and suit, I leap at it.” He also stated that “whenever I have any chance to dress up, wear a tie and suit, I jump at it.” My goal in life is to achieve a balance between looking attractive and being comfortable while doing it.
