Nicolly Pereira, 2, knew her mother loved her, and her mother made it apparent when she touched her light brown hair and held her. It’s simply that she hadn’t seen or heard from her mother since she was a baby. The deaf and blind youngster from Brazil was diagnosed with pediatric glaucoma soon after birth. Nicolly’s ocular pressure was 50, which is rare for a youngster her age. Unfortunately, physicians verified that she couldn’t even see light.
Since she was a baby, Nicolly could only connect with her mother by touching and cuddling her. Nicolly’s mother, on the other hand, did not give up. Daiana Pereira was convinced that her kid would ultimately notice and hear her. Nicolly underwent seven procedures to treat her medical issues, but they were all unsuccessful. Later, Daiana published a tale about Nicolly on Facebook, and her story rapidly went viral.

The Jackson Health Foundation’s International Kids Fund (Wonderfund), which collaborated with the Kevin Garcia Foundation to help Nicolly, soon approached her. The groups finally collected $17,000 for Nicolly’s surgery at Bascom Palmer. Nicolly underwent a three-hour procedure to restore her sight. Fortunately, the seventh operation was a success!

Nicolly’s blood pressure plummeted from 50 to 12. When the doctor removed her eye patches after the procedure, it was a joyful moment. When the doctor removed the eye patches, Nicolly sat on her mother’s lap. She was taken aback by her newly gained sight at first, and she peered around the room with curiosity.
