Adrien Brody had a night to remember, winning his second Oscar and kissing Halle Berry.

The 51-year-old joined an elite group of actors who have won the only Oscars for which they have been nominated at the 97th Academy Awards, as the New Yorker was honored for his leading performance in Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist, becoming the first male actor to win two Oscars in his first two attempts.

58-year-old Halle Berry seemed to be overcome by the passion in the air as she approached Brody on the red carpet and kissed him.

The rationale for doing so was to reenact Brody’s contentious kiss on Berry at the Academy Awards 22 years earlier. However, she did so at the expense of Brody’s girlfriend and Harvey Weinstein’s ex-wife, Georgina Chapman.

Because Berry and Brody are dating, everyone on Twitter has been asking, “I wonder how their partners feel about this.” It makes you cringe.”

Just before Berry kissed Brody, she cautioned Chapman, who uncomfortably cheered the couple as they kissed, prompting Berry to apologize before leaving.

“She did it right in front of his girlfriend and then said, ‘Sorry, I had to,'” according to someone else.

Another said, “Doing this in front of your wife is insane.”

A third person typed, “That’s… simply bizarre. Like, it’s not even about comprehension and professionalism.” This is simply disrespectful.”

A fourth added, “Can you imagine if he approached Halle and did this without her agreement… in front of her spouse? LOL.”

However, not everyone was as shocked, as one commenter pointed out that Chapman was clapping.

They wrote, “She applauded the kiss.” “Don’t you see her in the video?”

“They’re actors.” Actors kissing is one of the things that is acceptable in a relationship,” said a second.

While a third inquired, “What, what?” “Aren’t they both married?”

No, they’re not married, but they both have partners. Berry told Today last month that she manifested her lover of four years, Van Hunt.

Meanwhile, speaking to Variety on the night, Berry stated, “That was one hell of a night for him, and for me as well. To share in his moment tonight, I had to repay him.

“I have seen him at parties, but this is the first time I’ve observed him on a red carpet since that night. This year, he has received a nomination. He deserved it.”
