In 2014, Jaycob Curlee, an 18-year-old from Daphne, Alabama, impressed America’s Got Talent audiences with a sincere audition that resonated deeply due to his moving personal narrative.

Jaycob faced numerous challenges during his early years. His parents were imprisoned and addicted to drugs, so he and his sister were put in foster care at age five. The brothers spent several years traversing the care system, during which time Jaycob became increasingly disillusioned with life. However, hope arrived when they were adopted by a loving family, who provided them with the stability and support they had been seeking.​
