After nearly a century of entertaining people, Nora Barton has finally earned her big break.
In one of the loveliest “Britain’s Got Talent” auditions we’ve ever seen, the 96-year-old shared the stage with her daughter, Pam Dimbleby, to perform “When You Are In Love.” Despite having Alzheimer’s illness, Nora struck each note with perfect clarity, leaving the crowd in wonder!
In a video, Nora proves that she is still clever and lively. She answers the judges’ queries with humor and has them grinning before she even sings a word.
“This is the act, and I’m just accompanying,” Pam says, nodding to her mother. “This is a treat for her at 96, as she has sung for people her entire life.”

As soon as they begin their performance, it is evident that Nora is the stunning soprano the world requires right now! She’s extremely adorable as she trills the classic song and effortlessly hits every high note, and everyone gives her a standing ovation.
“You are a very special lady because you’re full of light, laughter, and joy, and you just entertained the nation at the age of 96!” Judge David Walliams comments.
Amanda Holden says, “It was a very special audition, Nora.” Your generation is the foundation of our country, so congratulations and thank you.”

Simon Cowell, ever the joker, begins by saying, “I didn’t like it very much at all…” just to reveal that he actually likes it!
We’re so thrilled Nora is finally getting the credit she deserves! We can’t wait to hear what she’ll sing in the following round.
