On Sunday, May 26, the final round of Britain’s Got Talent auditions aired. Despite the fact that none of the remaining judges had any left, one act advanced to the live semi-finals after receiving the golden buzzer treatment. Surprisingly, the 2024 series gave Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli two opportunities to press the golden buzzer, instead of just one.
When the last artists performed on Sunday night, all golden buzzer positions had been claimed. Even so, as the skipping group Haribow concluded their performance, the audience begged the panel to press the much-coveted button.
The judges and spectators were amazed by the dance group’s amazing somersaults, backflips, and handstands, which included a flawless double skipping rope routine. So much so that after the performance, the panel members were unable to hear themselves over the din and communicate their ideas to Haribow.

After a standing ovation, some audience members yelled for Simon, Amanda, Alesha, and Bruno to press the golden buzzer. Soon after, the entire auditorium was joining in on the chorus. Simon’s son, Eric, and Amanda’s daughter, Hollie, were two of those in attendance.
After telling her daughter, “I’ve done two; I’ve got none left,” Amanda turned to face Haribow and exclaimed, “Oh my God, wow wow wow, I mean, that’s like hours and hours of practice.” It was simply amazing. It resembled a textbook.
Above the yelling, Alesha, who had traveled from Japan for the audition, could barely make out her words, “I can’t hear myself think.” The amount of labor that has gone into this is evident. Excellent work.

Bruno repeated, “This is better than anything I’ve ever seen, and you are amazing dancers as well.” He then turned to face the audience and made an attempt to communicate with them, saying, “Listen to me; we can’t; we’re running out of time.”
“That’s as good as you’re going to get,” Simon continued. When something as positive as this happens during an audition, you often find yourself sitting there thinking, “I really don’t know what to say. Words aren’t really necessary.” He then paused, turned to face his son Eric, and apologized, saying, “My son is literally going crazy right now.” Does anyone believe they should receive a golden buzzer?
Simon then told Hollie and Eric, “You do it,” in response to the crowd’s cries. To the surprise of Amanda, Alesha, and Bruno, the two ran to the panel and pressed the golden buzzer.
“What an amazing moment! That was my son and Amanda’s daughter, encouraged by the audience,” Simon said to Haribow. Congratulations! We’ll see you in the finals. Simon turned to face the crowd and declared, “I’m going to give this one to all of you.” You can stay updated on the latest trends in TV and entertainment by subscribing to our newsletter here.
