Six years after winning a $100,000 jackpot from a scratch-off game, a man wins a $50,000 jackpot from the Powerball. But then he…

A man from Maryland won a prize of $50,000 from the Powerball lottery just six years after winning a jackpot of $100,000 from a scratch-off lottery ticket.

Dimas Montoya, 48, of Waldorf informed officials from the Maryland Lottery that he purchased some scratch-offs and a couple Powerball tickets from the 7-Eleven store that is located on Smallwood Drive in Waldorf in preparation for the drawing that will take place on November 7.

Montoya is a resident of Waldorf.

According to Montoya, “I checked the ticket at a gas station that I go to,” and he said that he found this information on the ticket.

Because the amount was so huge, the clerk was particularly excited for me when she told me that I needed to redeem it at the headquarters of the lottery.

Since Montoya’s ticket matched four of the white balls drawn in addition to the Powerball, he was awarded the grand prize of fifty thousand dollars.

“Knowing that I had lost the jackpot by one number prompted a lot of thoughts to go through my head,” he added. “I had a lot of ideas go through my head after missing the jackpot by one number.” “We barely escaped with our lives.”

After Montoya discovered that he had won $100,000 from a scratch-off ticket in 2016, he made his initial visit to the lottery’s headquarters.

The winner has claimed that he intends to use the money from his most recent reward to take his family on a vacation and to add to his savings.
