The doctor explains why it is crucial to always shower at night rather than in the morning

The world has two showering groups: morning and night.

Personally, I prefer an evening shower because I enjoy coming into bed feeling clean and fresh, especially if I’m wearing new pajamas and slipping into freshly changed bedsheets.

Despite the long-standing dispute, medical professionals have also expressed their personal opinions.

Doctor Aragona Giuseppe, a GP and medical adviser at Prescription Doctor, has offered what he believes to be the finest choice.

Dr. Giuseppe stated that washing in the morning may be more popular since it “awakens the senses and refreshes you, ready for the day ahead.”

However, this does not always imply that it is the superior option.

In fact, Dr. Giuseppe appears to believe that showering at night has greater benefits than taking one in the morning.

Some of these advantages include: it calms you before sleeping, it helps relieve tension in your shoulders caused by the gym or work, and it washes away the day’s filth.

Speaking further on the subject, Dr. Giuseppe told Glamour UK, “The biggest benefit of nighttime showers, however, is that throughout the day, your body and hair may accumulate airborne allergens and irritants, filth, and grime, especially in the summer months from pollen, chemicals, and perspiration.”

“So if you go to bed without showering, these will then transfer to your bed and sheets and may not only promote dirty bedding and nighttime allergies but could also cause itchy, irritated, and dry skin as well as facial skin issues such as acne due to dirty sheets and pillowcases from daytime oil and dirt.”

To summarize, Dr. Giuseppe feels that washing at night is preferable since it promotes cleanliness and restful sleep.

Dermatologist Emma Amoafo-Mensah recommends that you shower for no more than 10 minutes, whether in the evening or the morning.

“Many people are spending too long in the shower; the optimal time spent should be less than ten minutes,” according to her.

“Spending longer than this increases the chances of your skin feeling dry and irritated, especially if the water is too hot and you’re prone to dry skin.”

Amoafo-Mensah also advised people to avoid using hot shower water, which can deplete the skin’s natural oils.
