These fathers initiated a dance collective with the aim of spreading positivity and quickly gained prominence on TikTok

A group of fathers garnered global acclaim when they surprised their children with a dance performance during a recital. Today, these well-known dads are TikTok stars known as The Outta Puff Daddys.

These fathers initially crossed paths while accompanying their children to dance classes. Over time, they formed a camaraderie and began crafting entertaining dance routines. What started as a one-time performance at a recital evolved into a regular occurrence due to the overwhelmingly positive reception from the audience.

Reflecting on their debut routine, the group’s leader, Paul “Jukebox” Jukes, remarked that they “literally took the roof off.”

“The energy was incredible, and the kids in the audience were like, ‘Wait a minute, that’s your dad,'” he shared with Good News Network in 2023.

Since then, the group has expanded to approximately 50 members, aged between 40 and 60, using their dancing as a means of challenging stereotypes surrounding mental health.

Their online presence has garnered a substantial following, and they have taken their performances on tour.

“Our bond serves as a lifeline for our mental well-being,” their website explains. “We shatter traditional masculinity stereotypes, encouraging open discussions about mental health.”

Their message of “joy and positivity” resonates wherever they perform, and along their journey, they advocate for healthier approaches to mental well-being.

For Paul, The Outta Puff Daddys provided crucial support during periods of depression.

“I believe it’s essential for everyone to prioritize their mental health—just as we do with our physical health,” Paul emphasized. “So that when challenges arise, we’re equipped with strategies to address them.”
