There’s something about country dances that I enjoy, and it’s even better when the dancers add a little bit more. I also enjoy progressive dances that get larger and larger as the music plays. So here’s a fantastic video that mixes both in a Britain’s Got Talent audition.
This group is known as CountryVive, but you wouldn’t know it until the audition begins. One man, Shane, approaches and announces himself as a country dancer. And when the music begins, he dances by himself. However, we can see right away that this performance is going to be somewhat different.

Shane’s dance, despite his western attire and cowboy hat, incorporates a modern twist, employing techniques that closely resemble ballet. Soon, another man joins, and we see this performance will be different from what we thought.
The judges are first perplexed—Simon knits his brow and rolls his eyes—but as they observe, it becomes evident that this bunch is unique. Soon, the music picks up speed, and the two dancers become a group of 20, and we’re (as they say in the country) off to the races!
