This young man came and didn’t just sing, he owned the show!

The young man took the stage, his heart pounding like a drum in a thunderstorm. Sweat clung to his palms as he clutched the microphone, a lifeline in an ocean of uncertainty. Then—boom. The first chords of Livin’ On A Prayer rang through the speakers, and he took a deep breath, stepping off the precipice of hesitation and into the spotlight.

The instant his voice ripped through the air, it was like someone had flipped a switch, sending a shockwave through the room. Raw, fierce, and bursting with fire, he didn’t just sing the song—he lived it. The judges’ jaws hit the floor, their eyes wide as if they’d just seen lightning strike.

Then, chaos. Cheers exploded like fireworks, laughter bubbled over uncontrollably, and some judges even tumbled out of their seats, floored by the sheer force of the moment.

The internet has made us more linked than ever before. It is now tremendously easy to connect with and even watch individuals from all over the world, and the entertainment business took advantage of this by creating some of the largest and most exciting talent events to date. The Voice is one such talent show, with millions tuning in all across the world to discover who will be the next rising star.

Matthias Nebel was a standout competitor on Germany’s 2018 series of The Voice—The Voice of Germany. Nebel entered the blind audition, in which judges must make their selection based solely on the sound of the performance, and almost immediately won them over with his interpretation of a Bon Jovi classic, “Bed Of Roses”. The cover highlighted his great vocals, which you can hear for yourself in the video below.

Nebel’s audition immediately strikes a chord with two judges in particular. Mark Forster (a German-Polish singer) and Michael Patrick Kelly were spotted immediately beaming as they recognized this iconic rock hit and began singing along with Nebel. With his family watching behind the scenes, it was a very emotional occasion for both Nebel and his parents, who will undoubtedly be pleased with his performance.
