The legendary singer Dolly Parton and her goddaughter Miley Cyrus co-hosted Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party, where they rang in the new year. They put on a fantastic show together that everyone enjoyed.
At the Miami party, the skilled couple puts up a unique musical mix. First, Cyrus performs “Wrecking Ball,” a popular song from her album Bangerz. Then, however, Parton hums the song’s lyrics before abruptly beginning to sing the gorgeous music in her lovely & delicate voice.
The voices of Cyrus, 30, and Parton, 76, are combined. Along with the great vocalist, the entire crowd begins to sing. But Parton’s performance of her classic “I shall always love you” seems new now.
When Parton started her solo career in 1973, she recorded this song about her coworker and business partner, Porter Wagoner. Nearly two decades later, in 1992, Whitney Houston performed this song for the motion picture “The Bodyguard.” Houston was awarded a Grammy when this song’s rendition became a huge hit.
With her godmother, Cyrus sings “I Will Always Love You” for the first time. But it’s not the first time the two great vocalists have performed together.
Together, Cyrus and Parton have performed multiple times, notably at the 2019 Grammy Awards and a “The Voice” episode. She performed the popular song “Jolene” from the same-named film.
A number of online users submitted comments applauding the performance of the duo. Dolly has such a sweet voice, says one user. But it’s quite strong and potent. It effortlessly merges with Miley’s. These two require an entire album to themselves.
The other declares that Dolly is a legend in the music business and that Miley is a jewel.
